Intriguing, beautiful designs created by Niemeyer in the 1970s and 1980s were made into delicate metal engravings by the great architect, in a collaboration with mock-up builder, work partner, and close friend Gilberto Antunes. The metal engraving technique consists of applying pieces of twisted steel onto wood and acrylic bases. The Multiples collection is composed by five different artworks: Mulher deitada (Woman lying down); Amazônia (Amazon); Casal (Couple); Fodido não tem vez (No respite for the fucked over); Tortura nunca mais (Never again torture). It`s a limited edition with 50 pieces each artwork. The Oscar Niemeyer Foundation is partnering with ETEL to continue producing limited-edition pieces from this collection.
