Gregori Warchavchik designed this piece specifically for the Modernist House on Itápolis Street in São Paulo, which hosted the famous “Exhibition of a Modernist House” in 1930.
All made of wood, but with a futuristic look, silver like starlight, the architect drew the details of the furniture, lamps, and doorknobs of his houses with the same stroke, the same strength, and clarity found in his facades. These pieces of furniture, with their essential characteristics, were the first designed with this structure throughout South America.
To celebrate 100 years since Warchavchik’s arrival in Brazil, in 2023 ETEL in partnership with the designer’s family will launch a limited edition of 15 units, with special silver leaf painting.
